Nat Duncan from QLD Film Locations

Nat Duncan started her own film locations company in 2006.

With little knowledge of the film industry but a strong desire to test her abilities and “jump off the deep end” she has managed to develop a strong company with an impressive database.  Queensland Film Locations services overseas, interstate and local production companies. Nat is very interested in young entrepreneurs and the approach they take in business and digital life.  She recently co-managed Upload – Young Entrepreneurs Camp in January andJuly 2009 and January 2010.

Mike Boyd From a young age I could never understand the practice of conformity that I saw all around me. Go to school, then to University, onto a Job and a 30 Year career in a cubicle, and finally retirement to do what you love. That just seemed backwards to me. I didn’t feel like that was the right way to approach life. As a result, I have always strived to be different. To be unique. To cut my own path through life. Starting my first business at age 11 selling lost golf balls, I made a whopping $32.50 profit and have never looked back. I went on to found an Aquarium Servicing business at age 16, a Party Hire company at 19, a Digital Branding Consultancy at 20 and The Hive Brisbane (non-profit) at 21. Rebellious by nature, I insist on finding a cleverer and more interesting way of living life, having fun and of course, changing the world!
