Gideon Shalwick of Rapid Video Blogging

In 2006, Gideon Shalwick decided to quit his well paying corporate job, emigrate from  NZ to Australia and to start a new business.

What kind of new business?

He had an idea..

He would write a book on successful business people and call it “Millionaire Dropout Secrets”!

So he wrote the book and after weeks of careful research on marketing he decided on setting up a simple website business to sell it.

But it bombed.  Within a couple of weeks of launching, his book got distributed to 77 countries around the world, only to see it all tumbling down and crashing because after an initial burst of hype, there wasn’t enough interest to sustain the business!

From that painful experience, he’s spent the last 5 years learning everything about internet marketing from the ground up, all the while specialising in online video marketing.  Gideon has now honed his methods to the point where he’s been able to build a following of over 100,000 people for his business ventures, one of his partner YouTube channels has had over 10,000,000 views (and counting), and he has a personal following of close to 60,000 people on his personal blog at www.GideonShalwick.com where he shares some of his video marketing strategies.

All of this, while working from home.

His latest book, Rapid Video Blogging, has now been downloaded well over 20,000 times and has become the standard for video blogging as a marketing tool.

But don’t think Gideon is just another internet marketer.  It’s his entrepreneur mindset that truly sets him apart from the pack and he is a shining example of someone who has navigated the tricky course from employee to business owner all the while being a husband (and recently a father).
